Misgendered Adventures of Enby was created from the need to document my experience of growing up without the space and language to affirm my nonbinary identity. This zine is composed of writing paired with illustrations that mark significant times in my life when my gender played a vital role in how it was perceived in society and how I saw myself.
Not Just Monsteras sprouted from the desire to emphasize the inherent diversity in human life and the harmony it can produce when careful consideration goes into understanding the interrelated nature of our collective existence as well as our individual multiplicities. It is also meant to document the lives of LGBTQ people since we have been written out of history for far too long.
NJM is rooted in Baltimore and is an offering of healing. It consists of transcribed interviews conducted by Vonne Napper under the mentorship of Unique Mical Robinson, Humanistics Faculty at MICA, along with plant species that grow in and around Baltimore that can be used for medicinal purposes.
